FCCLA CLUB

Apple Crisp



Ingredients
  • 1 large apples (or 3 medium)
  • 1/2 cup. oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup. butter
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
Instructions
  • Peel, core and slice the apples into thin wedges. place the apples in the round glass dish. In a medium mixing bowl, combine together oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, butter and lemon juice. Using a pastry blender, cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture is crumbly. evenly sprinkle this mixture over the apples. Microwave on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from microwave, using hot pads. allow 5 minutes for standing time.

Peanut Butter Rice Krispies

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups rice krispie cereal
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
Instructions:
  • Butter a 9x13 baking pan. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and corn syrup, and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, and stir in peanut butter. Mix in the rice cereal until evenly coated. Press the mixture into the prepared pan. n a glass bowl in the microwave, melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips, stirring occasionally until smooth and well blended. Spread over the top of the bars. Chill until set, then cut into bars.

Rice Krispies


Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 package (10 oz.) or 40 large marshmallows
  • 4 cups of miniature marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
Instructions:
  • In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day. Microwave cooking times may vary.

S'mores

Ingredients:

  • 2 Graham Cracker Squares
  • 1 Marshmallow
  • 1/2 mini Hershey Bar
Instructions
  • Put chocolate on one graham cracker square. put marshmallow on one graham cracker square. microwave for 15 seconds. press the two graham cracker squares together.
